Christmas is all around us and so the feeling grows.

After a year of many ups and downs, there is plenty to celebrate as we approach Christmas and Narromine Shire Council is helping residents and visitors feel the spirit of Christmas with street decorations in Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley.

Council’s elves have been busy the past few days erecting the decorations and lighting all around the Narromine Shire.

‘In addition to the Christmas feeling around our towns, visitors and residents can get involved with Narromine Region Shop Local campaign,’ said Acting General Manager, Mrs Marion Truscott.

The past 12 months have been really tough on all businesses and the Narromine region’s retailers have banded together and embraced another year of shop local in the lead up to Christmas 2021.’

Anyone can be the winner of $1000 worth of vouchers, all you have to do is spend a minimum of $20 in any participating store, complete an entry form and place it in the entry box, it’s just that easy.

We can continue to support our retailers and local communities by shopping locally to find the perfect gift, supporting our cafes, pubs and restaurants and warmly welcoming visitors to the Narromine region, added Mrs Truscott.

Narromine’s Shop Local campaign runs until 15 December 2021 and the Shop Local Late Night is Thursday 9 December 2021.
