Cale Oval Clubhouse and Grandstand construction Tender awarded
The construction of the Cale Oval clubhouse and grandstand has been awarded to Precinct Commercial through an open tender process conducted by Narromine Shire Council.
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Mrs Jane Redden said, ’this project will involve the construction of a new single-story multipurpose clubhouse with changerooms, storage facilities, kitchen/canteen, first aid room, bathrooms and grandstand seating for up to 200 people.’
It will be located on the site where the existing grandstand and changerooms currently stand.
Narromine Shire Council received funding through Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and NSW Government’s Resources for Regions Round 7 for this stage of the construction project, added Mrs Redden.
The overall Masterplan for the Sporting Precinct at Cale Oval is progressing well with fencing completed around the oval perimeter, two additional netball courts and a basketball court. Parking, installation of new playground equipment, improved lighting, netball clubhouse, public toilets and park furniture with interconnecting pathways are nearing completion.
This Masterplan was developed with extensive consultation by Narromine Shire Council and stakeholders and users at Cale Oval and the wider Narromine Shire community.
Construction of the clubhouse and grandstand will commence as soon as the winter football season has finished in 2021 and be ready for use by early 2022.
Ends.
