Media Release - Narromine Shire Council's Focus For Job Creation

The NSW Government’s Regional Job Creation Fund will provide a $4.8 million grant for the engineering firm Simmons Global to relocate its operations from Western Australia to Narromine. 

Simmons Global will establish its manufacturing facility adjacent to Narromine’s Aviation Business Park. 

Simmons Global is an engineering and manufacturing firm that specialises in structural steel design and manufacturing in mining, thermic, commercial and plant construction. As well as manufacturing advanced technologies such as unmanned aerial drones and UV monitors for sun safety awareness.

‘This initiative is a great example of collaboration between industry and government and will assist to accelerate development, investment and jobs creation’, said Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Mrs Jane Redden

Council has experienced record development and growth in recent years and the establishment of Simmons Global to Narromine will help strengthen and diversify the economic base and give existing businesses confidence for a bright future, added Mrs Redden.

Simmons Global will commence construction on its site in 2022.
