The project to deliver a new Learn to Swim facility at Narromine Aquatic Centre commenced in August.
A priority in the Narromine Aquatic Centre Master Plan, the ‘Learn to Swim’ pool will provide residents and visitors with a contemporary aquatic centre.
Commencing in August, the construction of the upgraded facility are expected to be completed by 12 November 2019. Works include;
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Jane Redden said, “The upgrades to Narromine Aquatic Centre will ensure residents have access to an improved facility for swimming lessons and other aquatic educational programs”
“Council adopted the Narromine Aquatic Centre Master Plan in September 2018 and since then has been working towards providing the community with a contemporary aquatic centre that caters to a variety of needs, and will be enjoyed for years to come.
“Residents can be assured that the construction of the Learn to Swim pools will not affect pool usage over summer”, she said.
