It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Narromine Region.
As part of Council’s plan to encourage people to visit and shop locally in the Narromine Region, Council has funded Christmas decorations to beautify the urban centres.
Narromine Mayor Clr Craig Davies said the spirit of Christmas has been enriched as this year has been tough for so many in our wider community.
Council really wanted to give our residents and visitors something to be happy and cheerful about and help bring some light into everyone’s lives after a really difficult twelve months.
Council elves have been busy all week erecting decorations and lighting in Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley.
The past few years have been really tough on all businesses and I’m so pleased our local retailers are banding together and embracing the Narromine Region shop local campaign and the shop local late night to be held on 10 December from 5pm until 8pm.
Let’s finish this year positively, our local businesses really need our continued support and I encourage residents to shop locally where possible, support our cafes and restaurants and warmly welcome visitors to the Narromine region. The 2020 Narromine region’s harvest has been a record breaker, it would be wonderful to see the shop local campaign surpass all expectations, he added.
