Draft 2021/2022 Integrated Planning and Reporting documents on Public Exhibition
The Narromine Shire Council is inviting the community to provide their feedback on the draft Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework documents.
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Mrs Jane Redden said, ‘the draft documents are crucially important as they guide Council’s activities over the next 12 months and demonstrate how Council will achieve the objectives and visions of the Community Strategic Plan.’
Highlights from the budget include $10.3M to be spent on capital works projects in the year ahead, including $5.2M on roads and streets, $0.7M on upgrades to water supply network and $.05M on upgrades to sewer and waste water.
Rates are proposed to increase by 2.0% in line with the annual rate peg and most fees and charges will increase in the order of 2.5%. Water consumption charges will increase to $1.85 per KL for Narromine and Trangie residents and $1.62 KL for Tomingley residents.
Feedback from residents is a key component in the documents being adopted, added Mrs Redden.
All interested residents are encouraged to view the draft documents at www.narromine.nsw.gov.au/council/public-exhibition. Documents are also available for inspection at Council’s offices, the Macquarie Regional Library – Narromine and Trangie branches, and the Tomingley BP Station. Written or electronic submissions are invited and must be received by Council before close of business on 9 June 2021.
