Applications OPEN for Facilities Maintenance Grants Program

In March 2020, Narromine Shire Council was successful in securing $1,000,000 of funding through the Australian Governments Drought Communities Program.

Council resolved to allocate $200,000 of the $1,000,000 to a ‘Facilities Maintenance Grants Program’ for our community and sporting groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “the facilities maintenance grant programme allows community and sporting groups, along with not-for-profit organisations to apply for much-need funds to assist in facility upgrades”

“Community groups and organisations are invited to apply for funds of up to $20,000 to undertake capital works projects”

“Council is excited to be able to support community projects” she said

Applications for the Facilities Maintenance Grants Program are invited from Tuesday 7 April 2020 with applications closing 5pm, 1 May 2020.

The remaining $800,000 has been allocated to; Community events, riverside reserve clean-up, main street beautification in Tomingley, upgraded leash free area, upgrades at the Narromine Aerodrome and Auditorium, upgrades to Narromine Showground amenities, Oval lighting at Noel Powell Oval and Payten Oval, upgrade cemetery bins, aquatic wheelchair at Narromine Aquatic Centre, upgrades to playground and footpaths in Trangie and irrigation upgrades at Trangie Showground.
